Symes prosthesis: £124

This is a device which is custom-made to accommodate a Symes amputation which is made through the ankle with the foot being removed but the heel pad saved.

It’s a complex device to make but because labour is relatively cheap and the materials are less than those used for a trans-tibial prosthesis, it is very good value at the cost of a supermarket meal deal for a month.
