We’re delighted that, for the second year running, Les Dickson has nominated 500 miles as…
Clare Lardner is going to be celebrating her 50th birthday “all too soon”! She decided to set herself the challenge of walking 50 miles along the Fife Coastal Path – all in one day – in the summer of 2010. She planned to ask friends and family to join her for support.
Then Clare read about 500 miles and Miles for Smiles and decided that she would ask family and friends to pledge to do enough miles among them to make up a 500 mile walk in a day. The day of the event will be 19th June 2010, starting at 4am to maximise daylight walking. Clare hopes to be finished by midnight!
Clare will split the money she raises equally between War Child and 500 miles.
Clare’s plans are at an early stage but you can watch this page for developments and news of how to support her. She already has 3 other friends who have pledged to do 50 miles each and a few others who will do between 1 and 20 miles, so the total is growing.
Clare has a business called Clarity which provides:

- creative project designs tailored to your needs
